The photographs, which are very nicely reproduced, cover a thirty year span and all aspects of Eugene Smith's work.
This book is a presentation copy from Smith's widow, Ailen to the legendary photo editor John G. Morris. It is inscribed "To John, In memory of Shinjuku, Odakyu, March 21 1982, Best, Ailen M. Smith. Morris is Eugene Smith's executor and so this exhibition was organised with Morris's permission, co-operation and insight. This is a rare book with only five copies listed on WorldCat
