Voewood Rare Books Catalogue Two

We are delighted to share our latest catalogue.
Among the eighty-five items, you will discover Jane Austen the musician, some gorgeous bindings from the 17th to the 20th century and some equally gorgeous Rococo engravings. Robert Mapplethorpe and Anthony Gormley are here. We bring together the sacred (a calligraphic poem about God, a letter from Jesus and some rare 17th century theological pamphlets) and the profane (sport, sex and some “very sick people indeed”). Socially, we cover everything from culinary Countesses to the queen of the gypsies. On a more sober note, there are important early English legal books and material relating to the struggle against apartheid in South Africa including a touchingly inscribed copy of Nelson Mandela's autobiography.
We have enjoyed working on this catalogue. We hope you enjoy reading it. We are happy to answer any questions and supply further images and information. Contact us on andrew@voewood.com or +44 (0) 1263 715539/ +44 (0)7990 027140.
